Why Distance Learning for Martial Arts Will Not Work
Because of the popularity of martial arts movies, many individuals are encouraged to study martial arts. Those in the city simply find a martial arts school and begin learning their preferred discipline. However, those in other places who do not have access to any martial arts school sometimes turn to distance martial arts learning.
Distance martial arts learning can be done online. A student simply has to hook up his computer to the Internet and log in to the school website and learn by watching and imitating video and demo pictures. While a student can learn nice tricks from this arrangement, like escaping from someone’s grip, he would not be able to learn the highly advanced moves of the discipline properly.
Having an instructor is important when a person is to learn real martial arts. The instructor is the one who straightens his posture, corrects his stance, and assists him in putting his body in the right position for effective kicks, punches, and other attacks.
Incorrect kicking and punching can be dangerous because there is a chance that the person doing it would lose his balance and suffer from torn ligaments and broken bones as a result. For these reasons, it is always a great idea to seek martial arts training from proper instructors.
